Bye, Nick I suppose your "unsubscribe" will be echoed to the appropriate list address. You seem to have a glimmer of a sense of responsibility in the last paragraph. The list is what everyone makes of it - including you. If you act like a thug, then the list gets thuggish, and the "shining stars" you wish to commune with are going to be less ikely to pay attention. I find it worth while trolling through the NMC and other stuff to get to the nuggets - which can be technical or otherwise. Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but the list writers - by and large - take great care in what and how they write and always strive to be entertaining, humorous, enlightening, witty, etc. no matter what the content. I feel privileged to be in their company and wish I had more - make that some - technical wisdom to impart. I don't yet, but so far I haven't felt intimidated about putting my 2c in occasionally. I think if the list were what you wanted, it might waste less bandwidth, but it would lose a lot. And I say that even though I violently disagree with a lot of the political content.
