Just purchased the wife a used 92 Miata. > I am afraid I am a bit lost on the A model, B model, M model etc. The packages changed after a certain point. Certain special editions like the 'M' evolved and so forth. In 1992 you had a choice of A, B, C, or base model. If you don't have leather seats, it's not a C. If you don't have Power Windows, it's not a B. If you don't have alloy wheels and leather wrapped steering wheel, its a Base model, unless it's my car, in which case it got the wheels and leather wrap after I got ahold of it. For more accurate descriptions, check out: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/5361/ > The 94 Mustang is stock with 2.73 rear gears. The Miata in 5th > gear pulls just as well as the Mustang in 5th gear. To out accelerate > my wife at 80 MPH I must down shift. The '92 Miata has maybe another 15 mph left at 100, but you might have to put the top up to get them. 4th gear would be required, along with a driver that was willing to push it to the 7200 RPM limit. > Nice little car the Miata... and it makes the wife "smile" so what else > is important! <G> It has that effect on just about everyone who drives it. -John ------------------------------------------------ John Freas (jfreas@gte.net.nospam) Red '90 Base #7690 Deer Park, Long Island Team PBC Team Roebuck Team Voodoo Team "I have no idea what those dimple things on the windshield frame are for." ------------------------------------------------
