Thanks to all those who responded. Each suggestion contained significant merit. Problem was isolated to the ignition switch. For my business I carry 31 keys, small pocket knife, screwdriver, and a couple of circuit board shorting straps. This keyring set-up is handy, but hard on pocket material. Guess it also took it's toll on the ignition switch after several years of abuse. The problem was not reproduced by simple wiggling of the keys, but by giving the ignition switch and keyring a fairly smart slap. Want to also disable the steering wheel lock....no idea what it entails, but suspect the solution will be clear as switch assembly is examined. If there is anything overly sophisticated in accomplishing this..please advise. In an unrelated topic.. A few months ago, I also missed notches on the timing belt when replacing seals. This went unnoticed till a few runs down drag strip. Took a little while to figure out where the approximate 3/4 second and 9 MPH went in the 1/4 mile. Will verify next month. Thanks again to : Mike P; Chris K; Steve O; and Larry A. If you pass thru the Augusta GA area... stop in and we will raid one of my trucks. Jim Creer
