He doesn't know what he is talking about. Think about it, would a NASCAR (or Busch/ARCA/ASA/IMCA) driver be doing alighnments! He is just a Saturday night roundy-rounder, that doesn't know a double wishbone rear suspension from a hole in the ground. The Miata only weighs about 2200-2300 lbs, your body weight is a large percentage of that and a double wishbone suspension doesn't require the spring rates that a V8/solid axle setup does. A stock Miata only has 150lb front spring for goodness sake. Ask a SCCA IT driver who does alightment (those exist) and they will tell you to sit in the car! Jeez. Sorry to get on my soapbox, but I'm sick of so called experts trying to tell me how to set up my car. 17" wheels are better, 600 lbs springs are better, Detroit locker diffs are better that Torsens, yadda, yadda, yadda.
