Folks have surmised that MTL contains an additive that makes the synchros work better whereas MT-90 is actually too slippery. Your literature suggests that this is not the case, but the results remain. I would say first and foremost, if your transmission is shifting well, you don't need anything. If it is working well and you want to change the oil as a preventative maintenance move, then feel free to try the MT-90. It won't hurt, and you can let us know what you find. If the transmission is a bit grindy and you are trying to improve the shifts, again, you can try MT-90 and see how it works for you. I can tell you that MTL will /definitely/ help. If the MT-90 doesn't do what you want, the only loss is the cost of the oil and a little bit of your time. -John ------------------------------------------------ John Freas (jfreas@gte.net) Red '90 Base-ish #7690 Deer Park, Long Island Team PBC Team Roebuck Team Voodoo Team "I have no idea what those dimple things on the windshield frame are for." ------------------------------------------------
