> > Think of it as a hotrod, not a sports car-- > OOOhh nooo! I can see revisions of the debate of "fwd is not a sportscar!" > turn to "hotrods are not sportscars!" Everyone get ready... OK, just got the latest Jeremy Clarkson video, in which, he tries to determine, the BEST handling car in the world ! The contenders are: -Porsche 911 -Mitsubishi 3000 -Volkswagen Golf VR6 -Nissan Skyline GT-R -Ferrari 550 -Lotus Elise -Peugeot 106 GTi -Honda NSX -Ferrari F355 I think they're all here....I know, I know, no miatae, but nobody is perfect !! JClarkson was helped by two pros...one of them was Tim Harvey of BTCC fame ! The other one was a Mitsubishi works rally driver ! They first agreed that the 911, the Mitsu and the VW, weren't going to win this, because: -911-They only agreed that the car had good brakes ! -Mitsu- Too heavy.... -VW- Too soft.... BTW, they were on a circuit, and the best lap time was made by the Skyline... They choose the following cars: In third, the Lotus Elise....the downside is all the hype around it ! In second, the Peugeot 106....It was the ONLY car that they all agreed that there was NOTHING wrong with it....perfect !! In first, the Ferrari 550 !! The amazing thing about the Peugeot is that it had been a regular at this type of tests, and it does very well.... I can remember another test, where they had an F50, and the 106 was the FASTEST car on a hairpin !! This should tell you something, you 'old-school' guys !! ;-) Aeternum vale, Helio & POPeye, the Bellmonster... "at 200mph, you have no friends..." PS in case you don't know, the Peugeot 106 is FWD !
