Hi there, 



I'm Fletch's mother and I wondered if you could pass on our thanks to all of

Fletcher's friends out there in Miataland for their good wishes.

He has now had his operation (this morning NZ time) after having to wait for

almost three days!!!

He is in good spirits although still a little groggy when I left him about

an hour ago.  Had to have a plate and some pins inserted into his leg.  He

broke the top of the Tibia (shinbone) up under the kneecap.  He will

probably be in hospital for up to a week before coming home to stay with me

for some TLC for a few weeks.

He was quite disgusted to learn that he would have a special brace instead

of a cast.  He had hoped that he could have a nice bright red fibreglass

cast with two wide white stripes on it - to match his car!!

He THINKS that after a couple of weeks he'll be able to drive my Honda CRX

because its automatic (its his "clutch leg" that he broke) but he has

another think coming.  Motherly love can only stretch so far!

Once he comes home here he will no doubt spend most of his days sitting here

on my computer making contact with you all.
