Though I did my FM sways install in a garage for the smooth 

ground surface, I did not use ramps or a lift - occasionally a jack.  

One free parking space (or a half of one?) to one side of the car 

should suffice.  Wear thick clothing, however.  Wriggling back and 

forth (and back and forth and back and forth) under the car through a 

single shirt left me with a mild case of road rash!!  8-)
