List, Just a quick note. I'm back at home in Tampa tonight after my cross-country trek to Laguna Seca. I traveled for 22 days, and covered 6,310 miles. Half that mileage was after I smacked the wall. I think that's a tribute to the durability of the Miata. It performed flawlessly all the way home. I had a great time, and met a lot of really super people. It's so nice to be able to put faces and voices with many of the names that I see on the list. I wish we had been able to spend more time getting to know each other. The next time you see a race on TV from Laguna Seca, look for my red splat on the wall outside turn 5. Spider is now among the ranks of the world's elite race cars, having "left an impression" at perhaps the finest race track in the world. I browsed through the archives a bit tonight to see what I'd missed and there were many kind words about my mishap at Laguna Seca. I especially enjoyed Eric Amador's recounting of the day. I realized that I have been remiss in conveying a couple thanks... First, to Aaron. You made possible for me an experience of a lifetime. You provided me with the catalyst to take a big chance and do something I would not normally have done. They say that if you want to be a great person, you must surround yourself with great people. That is what I have done, and I am better off for it. Thanks a million, Aaron. You are a great person. sorry for the overuse of the word "great") Second, to Percy. Thanks for the cool MOMO sunglasses. Sorry I didn't get to thank you in person. I can't wear them to drive until I get contact lenses, but they look fabulous. That's it for now. I'll be looking for the best body and paint shop in town tomorrow. I'm still off the list, so if anyone want's to reply, send a copy to me directly.
