Any paint is only as good at its adherence to the substrate. Then build up the surface with THIN applications of lacquer until it all rises slightly above the level of the rest of the paint. Then VERY CAREFULLY and once it is absolutely dry (one week is minumum for all the solvents to outgas) cuthe surface back level with the rest of the paint (Ask your paint shop for advice... I use wet and dry paper and very very very grit on a tongue depressor, and finish with a very slightly abrasive liquid or toothpaste)... Be CAREFUL Miata paint is very thin. Thne l give the spot another 2 weeks and wax as usual. You might want to "Clay" (special cleaning clay .. again ask you paint person or E-Mail Meguiar) the whole car after doing all the minor repairs... The results will amaze you!
