This was in the two-stroke Saab days, IIRC. So yes, I think it's possible. To intentionally change the rotation of the motor, there's usually a cam regrind involved, though. Running a motor backwards will give you some very strange valve timing. (This is why two-strokes run backwards so easily) Distributorless igniton, with the waste spark on what should be the exhaust stroke, will make running backwards much easier, though. ;) -Zandr
