De-lurking from the archives for a moment (where I've been forced to hide for the past few months), I thought I'd throw my $.02 Canadian in on this thread... The spray hand washes work well for getting the winter crud off your car, especially the underside. For the paint, just remember to keep the nozzle a few feet away from the surface. That reduces the pressure of the blast - somewhere, maybe on the Meguiars site, I recall reading that a high-pressure jet can actually embed the dirt particles into the paint (not to mention stripping sheets of paint off... again, don't hold it too close). For the very anal (and I'll admit right now to having done this a couple of times in the past...), you can take a pail and your favourite car wash sponge/glove/washcloth with you to the spray hand wash, and use the spray w and to fill your pail, then do the traditional hand wash. Again, the spray wand from a few feet back does a good job of rinsing. After all, what you really want is just a warm place with a water supply, right? (After you've sprayed the salt from underneath, of course) Regards, Gordon Choate (gchoate@infoedge.net) Calgary, Alberta 96 BRG/tan PS - When using the spray wand to fill your pail - be careful not to get a high-pressure reflected-from-the-pail face wash... I'll admit that it happened to me (exactly once...)
