I doubt it. It was around 20F yesterday morning, and my '94 has never 

felt stronger.

I suspect JR throws in the thermostat because it's a cheap way to help 

you think you're getting your US$400 worth. I gather that the 160 degree 

thermostat juju has been pretty well debunked by now. Lots of folks have 

changed back to stock without apparent power loss.
