In a message dated 98-01-02 17:26:58 EST, you write: > So my question is which would y'all out there do? Assuming that > the rotary will fit, etc. how many would be willing to forego the original > spirit of the Miata for rediculous amounts of power and drive a car looks > like a Miata but 'isn't a Miata' as some would call it? Aw man, if I could go rotary, I'd do it in a second!!! Not to knock the Monster Motorsports method, but I'd much rather see a *true* Mazda powerplant under the hood of a Miata... From what I understand, a company called Mazda Trix (or Tricks) has already put a rotary in a Miata... If I'm not mistaken, he is running a 13 sec. 1/4 mi... A friend of mine, Jay Takahara, had told me he inquired about having one dropped in his Miata, and they said they will not do another one... I don't know why, because I don't see any reason why it should be harder than stuffing a V-8 under the hood... Either way, I think the car would just be a blast to drive...
