With respect to demonic-oriented names, be aware that Florida

is but one example of states which closely scrutinize vanity

plate names for any which might offend the public at large.

Florida maintains a long list of "no-no's" which is expanded each

time someone submits a questionable name.  The reasoning behind

some of the no-no's is obvious.  Others are obscure.  And

the state refuses to explain the rationale behind their inclusion

of any name on the list.  And who compiles the list?  Some nameless

bureaucrat.  And if Florida grants a vanity plate, and someone finds

it offensive and complains, the state may withdraw the plate.



Other states probably censor also.  I suspect most of the "devil"

names being suggested won't make the cut.  Ain't big government fun?



Nevertheless, may I suggest a name?  NADER, destroyer of Corvairs,

he who never owned a car, but presumed to tell others what we should

drive.
