Hello all,



Im one of those AOL'ers and Im new to this listserver stuff.  Please be

patient if I break any common ground rules.



Have been searching for information on Miata Club of America member's use of 

the MCA logo and if there are copyrights laws on it.  So far I've only found 

one "article" about the use of the Miata logo. I've been looking for trademark

symbols and the such, but have yet come up empty handed.



It's my understanding that Barbara has taken over the Miata Magazine.  Is that

different than saying Barbara is over the Miata Club?  Would Barbara be the

person to seek permission from to use the MCA Club logo?  I sent e-mail to the

magazine, but I know its the holidays and I dont really expect anything till

after the first of the year, and that cool.

  

I would like to use both the Miata Club of America logo as well as either the

"M" script or possibly the "M-edition" script to place on a product to sell

and advertise in the MCA magazine.

  

Any suggestions, articles, refrences, names, warnings.... yadi yadi yadi... 

would be much appreciated.

Oh, by the way.  I'm a long time Miata Club of America member.  My first Miata

was a 1991 red.  I kept it for about one year and then bought a BRG.  I'm

currently Miata-less right now...(boo hoo, weap.. sniff... snort...) but my

plans have been for a 1999 model.  It will be my third and I've sworn to keep

it no matter what.
