Maybe you guys have already noticed this but I was surfing around and ended up at a site called Specialcar.com. Anyway, they have a monthly column on automotive sites around the web (http://www.specialcar.com/1_98/cruisin/cruisin.html ) The columnist (Paul Williams) mentions the infamous Ice Racer in the article like so: "Of course, we don't get much racing where I live in the Great White North. But we do have ice racing. This is where you race on tracks made of ice, usually on a frozen river or lake. Check out the wild ice racing Miata at http://www.eunos.com/keith/iceracer.html to see what I mean. The pictures are thumbnails, by the way. " Mr. Williams mentions the "car" in such a deadpan manner that I'm not sure he is aware of its spurious nature. Seems we may have a new urban legend on our hands.
