>matt, >don't be too supprised.....WE ALWAYS >know more than the salespeople do. :>) We went to a dealership (October last year), and spoke with the owner about the Miata and the MX-5. The dealer told us how he visited the US plant, where the Miatas were built. I explained him that Miatae are built in either Hofu, or Hiroshima. He got a little angry, and told me that he had seen it with his own eyes. Miatae coming off the production line. In the US. I of course still didn't want to believe him. He said he had been to Hofu and Hiroshima too, had seen the MX-5's there too, _BUT_ALSO_IN_THE_US_ . He explained that the European MX-5's are built in Japan, but the American Miatae are built in the US. Snakebite was waiting outside, top-down of course, and I asked him to walk with me to Snakebite. She's a US Miata (from Seattle) and I wanted to show him the "made in Japan" decal. He didn't want to go outside. Oh well. :) Petra and Snakebite, who was laughing and laughing and sticking her tongue out
