Subject: NMC Beach Hotel/motels Around LA

I went to the bookstore tonite and got maps and stuff about LA.



Since I've never been there I'm looking for some local insight about places

to stay friday and saturday nite (and I want to stay on a beach lookint at

the ocean).



I see they name places in LA after their counterparts on the east coast (P;



Of course the first place to catch my eye was MANHATTAN BEACH.  Since I

live on manhattan island it might make me feel at home.  I spent many a

great summer day (and nite) on LONG BEACH & Malibu Beach on long island and

My home town is HUNTINGTON.   Of course i've been to NEWPORT in Rhode Island.



	Any way,  Newport beach comes highly recommended and i'm also considering

malibu or santa-monica.



	Does anyone have a suggestion/favorite place they've stayed and liked they

would recommend in those areas?
