Yup, a silver 1.8. It was a first for me, too. The vanity plate said SKY 

SPY--wonder if he's a police helicopter pilot?



But not too surprisingly, he turned off onto Hwy. 47, a wide concrete 

2-lane with long straights and gentle curves. We, OTOH, went another 10 

miles south then blasted our way back north on "letter roads," county 

blacktops through the forest, many corners marked with "safe speed" signs 

("safe speed" is highwaydepartmentese for "throttle steer in second or 

third gear."). IOW, MIATA ROADS.
