THanks to all who responded to the CLutch Chatter issue...

the consensus seems to be that

1) nearing time to replace the clutch.

2) if springs, etc. are broken, just wait it out and see 1) above, since

the labor intensity would be the same. 



So, it seems that I will keep on chatterin' until the clutch begins to

slip, whereupon I can get a nice new clutch...
