I see no reason why this wouldn't be a simple plug-in affair. The draw from the GM horn isn't going to be nearly as high as the CRI compressor, and in fact, far closer to the OEM horn. As a reference point, I was so offended by the OEM horn that I replaced it the day after I got the car. I had never heard of CRI horns at that point (I first heard them mentioned maybe 3 or4 days later on the list), so I went with experience and did what I did on my GTI. I went down to the junk yard and strolled over to the Fiat section (typically one of the largest sections) and picked up a set of Crazy, Black, Italian Electric Horns (AKA Fiat 124/2000 horns). These are dual electric horns made by FIAMM. They sound the same as the CRI FIAMMs but aren't quite as loud.. They /are/ a lot louder than the OEM, and sound like a sportscar horn ('cause they are). Anyway, getting back to the point, they plugged right in and work fine. I figure that 2 FIAMMs are probably not drawing much less than a GM dual horn, so there you go. -John ------------------------------------------------ John Freas (jfreas@gte.net) Red '90 Base-ish #7690 Deer Park, Long Island Team Laguna Seca Team dlralt Team PBC Team Roebuck Team Voodoo "I have no idea what those dimple things on the windshield frame are for." ------------------------------------------------
