I tend to favor the original equipment. The Westco is less expensive, but the models I have seen (this might have been corrected in later issues) had the Pos and Neg inverted in respect to the OEM battery, which made for a less than neat install. How important this is would depend on individual preferences. Westco is less expensive. How will they compare over a long period of use is, I guess, anyone's guess at this point. My OEM is still going nicely after some 7 yrs. but, again, I live in a warm climate and trickle charge it on a regular basis. I have friends with Westco who are quite satisfied.... main reason for purchase for the lower price tag, which might be a very good reason. As to comparative specs and design differences, I am afraid I have no reliable clue. Good luck (guess I *would* go OEM ... a personal choice, unless given an excellent reason not to) Sonja and Old Blue "It is impossible to travel faster than the speed of light, and certainly not desirable, as one's hat keeps blowing off." - Woody Allen
