For instance, what is the tire wear rating for RE71's, Toyo > Proxes T1's, etc. Anyone? Anyone? > > Eric Schwarzentraub -> who needs to finish his thesis so he can afford life > '91 Silver > Modesto, CA Well, I'm not sure how useful it is for comparison's sake since these ratings very between manufacturers, but my RE-71s have a treadwear rating of 140. (Went out in the dark with a flashlight just for you, Eric). That's a pretty low number, indicative of a pretty soft compound. Mine have about 7000 miles on them already (actually 7000 on the fronts and 4000 on the rears), and I expect they should last until 20,000 at least, unless I really abuse them some more. IIRC, the Toyos, AVSi's, and the like all have ratings well under 200. Kevin Morrison, who finished his thesis 3 years ago and can't see why he wasted his time.
