Hello,
The temperature on my 91 reads a little to the right of center in normal driving. If I drive it hard through the gears or cruise above 60MPH (e.g.70) the reading quickly (seconds) climbs to 3/4 or even 7/8 of the "normal" range on the gauge. It remains there until I reduce speed to 60. When the speed is reduced, the reading quickly returns to a little right of center.
Based on a message in the archive, I checked the cooling fan fuse. When it checked OK, I tried to verify the fan was working by idling and driving the car. The fan would not turn on. I then checked the relay which was not showing continuity so I replaced it. The cooling fan now works but only the passenger side.
!. Do the fans turn on at the same time or are they individually controlled by temperature?
2. In addition to checking the fan(s), any other thoughts on correcting the problem?
Thanks,
Len
