Are we making a mountain our of a molehill?
No flames please!
You're talking a max of maybe 350 to 400 cars heading for Texas. I
don't know the demographics of a "National Event" but can I assume the
closer you live to the "event" the more likely you are to attend?
SOooo, that leaves really not that many cars (out of all the Miata's in
the U.S. and Canada) heading west, south, and east to Texas. I attended
Toronto '96 and caught up with six or seven cars on the north-east
extension of the Pa. Turnpike heading northbound, not great hoards of
cars like lemmings (sp?) heading to the lakefront.
I think it is a great idea to convoy to Texas but I believe it could be
better handled through local chapters and neighboring chapters arranging
small groups to travel together and not trying to get one group trying
to arrange all the logistics of miles per day, motels, gas stops etc. To
me that would amount to "overkill" and wouldn't work anyway..
Just an opinion...........Hoping to see you'all at MMM98 and the 10th
birthday party in Texas...
