Under the subject: " Sick of hearing about the '99 " Alessandro Di Sciascio wrote
"1) In order to attempt to look as good as my wheels, went from 224 lbs to
169 lbs (and I had tried tons of times before)... in case you were wondering
that can do all sorts of strange things to your confidence .
2) Quit smoking (tried this one many times before as well... this time I
promised myself that if I succeeded I would buy myself the most beautiful
'99 I saw... on the other hand, if I failed I would purchase a pink Toyota
tercel with turquoise leather interior... )"
My Miata was a present to myself for quitting smoking also. To be fair, the
patch also helped. That was over six years ago. Now I even go to the gym
five days a week. I think it is fair to say that my health has improved. There
is no question that the Miata was the critical part of this process.
Clearly, the Miata is an important tool that can be used to improve health.
Alessandro and I can attest to that - I am sure others on the list can too.
Therefor, I think that the medical insurance providers should recognize Miata
ownership (or leaseship) as a legitimate medical treatment and pay
accordingly. We just need someone to write the prescription!
