The thing that irks me, in this area at least, is the speed limits
keep going down further and further....

For instance, a stretch of road that goes by the entrance to the
development in which I live - It was 55mph from before I was born.
Now it's been changed to 45 mph. The twisties leading up to it
(which aren't all *that* twisty) used to keep you at least a -little-
occupied when driven at 60-65 mph - a reasonable speed (at least as
far as the "law" is concerned) - 65mph now is all of a
sudden "unreasonable", to the tune of reckless driving. Probably
only a matter of time before the 45mph limit turns in 35mph. ugh

Everywhere I turn these days, speed limits are getting lower
and lower. And I keep slapping suspension mods on my car...

And this coupled with the advance of automobiles in general - better
handling and braking then 20 years ago, and they *lower* the speed
limits?

Guess I need to move.

Or get a Yugo - at least then 45mph around a curve will keep my
interest (and keep me from dozing off)

There's a lot to be said for speed limits that are too slow, IMO -
from a purely safety standpoint - I'm much more dangerous at 35mph
IMO than 65mph -
