It's gotta be said...
1) Not all posts have been as neutral or 'personality free' as their
authors would like to believe. They may have not intended to slam
individuals or point citicism at the magazine, but it came over as
criticism to me. (and NOT constructive).
2) I/me/myself am sick to death of phrases like 'don't take it personally',
'you gotta have a thick skin if...', 'You have to expect.. slams, insults,
name-calling'. BULL SHIT! Life's a team sport, not a game. What you
SHOULD do is have respect for the individual and try to communicate. This
is NOT a condemnation of everyone on the list nor does it mean that I don't
fall short either. It does mean you should step back and look at WHAT you
really said and done before you put your mouth or fingers in motion to
categorily deny out of hand any possible faux pax on your part.
I, for one, have more trust and admiration for someone who does have
feelings and isn't afraid to let it be known. Without feelings, what
matters. The Miata is about passion. A passion for the experience it
provides us.
I've seen signs, but can we turn this more CONSTRUCTIVE! Criticism CAN be
constructive.
