Here's my thoughts on MAA.

-They forgot Canada. Call it MOO and figure out the acronym later.

-Big Caravan. I remember seeing on TV the Corvette caravans that went to
Bowling Green for the opening of the Corvette Museum, but that was open
to everyone. Dallas will be 400 cars?

-Coast-to-coast "Olympic Torch" style caravans. Big logistics problem,
since everyone will want their leg on a weekend.

-Insurance problems. Little old WCMC spent $4000 on insurance last year
to cover its events. Then we still make all the participants sign
waiver whenever we drive as a group. A "hey, join the car parade!" deal
could get the organizer wiped out financially if a multi-miata pileup
 occurred.

-I thought Mazda's Tom Mantano proposed a 10th Miata Birthday party
in a speech he made up in Toronto. Mazda Coroporate could throw some
money in the pot and have parties at its dealerships. Individual miata club
chapters could then run a weekend rally or tour in conjunction with that.
Here's where MCA could send out some ideas and "instruction manuals"
for things the local club could do. Mazda/Ford could print up t-shirts
and posters, sponsor some prizes, get publicity, and maybe sell some
 extra cars.
