Please excuse my extreme ignorance...
How noticeable is the change in performance? For instance I have a '97
standard (no changes whatsoever) and I test-drove a '99... would the
perceived difference in performance match the difference between my '97
and a '99?
are there like "possible steps" for timing setup? I've heard of 10, 14
and 18 but I've never heard of 16 or 17 for instance...
What should a mechanic charge to do something like that (what's
reasonable?) Is this a relatively simple no brainer operation for a
mechanic? I ask because I don't have a "trusted" mechanic... I would
have to go to the coolest looking neon sign :)
