I haven't said anything in this latest discussion and I know it is an
important subject to many, and can be very important to others even if you
don't realize it at this point. The questions at hand have been rehashed
and even responses from Norm at MCA have been heard. His comment
that they are willing to listen and would like the members to call and
talk to him/them personally is well noted. Bob is correct in saying not
to get ahead of the game and just find out if they'll commit or not. With
that answer, things will be a lot clearer and at least members will
know and be more content, opening other opportunites to do new
things on our own if MCA declines. Since our thoughts/ideas up to this
point (I'm talking long term, not just w/in the last week) has either not
truly been conveyed or just fallen on deaf ears, maybe it wouldn't be a
bad idea to have a written petition/proposal to them to let us know if
they do have any interest in getting more involved? Or even just a phone
campaign? Norm said he wants to talk to us. Let's call and see. If all
the "me too'ers" out there called and let them know that they are
interested in MCA's position, I'm sure it would have to open their eyes
more. We just want information, so there is no reason for them
to be defensive. Give us an answer. Not to be a rogue, but if MCA
doesn't want to commit more, I'm all for a new club, as I said when this
same thing came up last month. It's a shame if this already established
organization can't do what we want or even listen and it shouldn't come
down to that.
No, I'm not a member of PCA or BMW CCA, but from what I've heard what
they do, I don't think there are many people who wouldn't benefit if MCA
was run the same way. So, I guess this message sounds like a
cheerleader's cheer, but let's get together and try to get the info and
act accordingly. I, for one, will be calling as Norm suggested.
