All,

Here´s some more info on the new MX-5 in Germany.

The new 1.6 (110 hp) will cost 37,690 DM, slightly less than the old
1.6 90 hp version.

The new 1.9 (140hp) will cost 42,690 DM, again less than the previous
128 hp 1.9.

The 1.9 will have the Torsen LSD. It will not be available for the
1.6.

Both will be available in:
Sambagold-Metallic (18K) (copper)
Piniengrün-Metallic (18J) (emerald green?)
Klassisch Rot (SU) (classic red)
Schwarz (PZ) (black)
Nachtblau-Metallic (12K) (dark blue)
Silber-Metallic (18G) (silver)

Taking the equipment into account, both versions will be about 3,000
DM cheaper than the previous versions.

The dealer still does not know whether the 99 will have a 5 or 6
speed gearbox - all the brochures and other infos they got leave that
point open. But he suspects it will have a 5 speed - and so says Auto
Motor Sport in their current issue.

If anybody happens to be close to the Nürburgring soon -
Mazda will have some 99s and an MG-F, a Fiat Barchetta, a ZZZ and
maybe more other cars for some salespeople to test-drive on the
Nordschleife. Not open for enthusiasts :(

The Europe headquaters of Mazda will be moved from Belgium to
Germany.

That´s all I found out today

Werner
P.S. $1 (US) = 1.83 DM
