In the US market the 1840cc Miata is designated a 1.8, not a 1.9; Is Mazda
Germany trying to appear equivalent to the "ZZZ", which has a 1.9 ??  (This is a
little like the Mustang 5.0 that was really a 4.9).

At 1.8DM to the US$ that makes the 1.9 about $23.7k - comparable to the US
price.
