I love it Ric!! and judging by your excellent last newsletter, it would be an
honor. I think you make a whole series of excellent points, well-worth
implementing. It is a very gradual increase in involvement, starts on a
realistic basis, and can expand as much or has little as desired and feasible.
Interclub sharing of certain articles of general interest and access to a
modest library of evergreens would be excellent an excellent tool ( sort of a
tiny Miata News Service ) while not threatening the absolutely essential local
character of individual clubs.

I would not mind seeing a column reporting on the happenings on the MiataNet
and List as well for our non-propeller heads fellow members. Might be a good
central place for a "Dear Abby" (LOL) or "Heloise Hints" where snail mail
could be sent (we will leave Miz Manners out of it -- no discussions of
catback flatulence).

But this is already overreaching... and I feel that keeping it simple as can
be is the key to success in this case and overcomplicating a deadly potion.
Which should never be however, a reason nor excuse to stop dreaming and
creating.

There is a lot of talent on this list. I am mindboggled by what I have seen in
the last few months. From the Frankenstein monster, the Amador miracles, the
Aaron and Ken Freaze track events, the Malibu runs, the Hotaling and Lipscomb
non-Miata restorations, the Perils of Kevin, Dennis Griffin's homemade gem,
the resurrection of MRoadster, the ingenuity and involvement of out Vendors,
to the myriad of events and stories from all parts of the States, Canada,
Europe, Asia, Australia and all other parts of the world (to mention a
fraction of a fraction of what I have observed) it is impossible not to
conclude that there is a pool of resources here begging to be tapped.

We need to carefully chose and design the tools to channel this source to the
memberships with minimum effort on the part of the contributors and ease of
use by the newsletter editors. That is quite feasible.

In the meantime, RIC, thank you!
