Once you get a  butane soldering iron you will probably never look at an
electric soldering iron again.  They heat up almost instantly, provide
plenty of heat, last for well over an hour on a butane charge (I've never
run out on a single project) and are lightweight and terribly convenient.
You can get a can of butane for about $3 at any convenince store if you run
out.   Its up near my Miata on the list of  neat things I own... :^)
