Hello all,

At the recent Lone Star club March Madness event, 
I noted with considerable envy that three members 
were sporting caps from the '99 introduction ad 
campaign.  The hats are black cotton twill with 
Yellow lettering.  Around the front half, along the 
bottom edge, they read, "Get in. Be moved."  On 
the back, they read Mazda Miata, both in their 
familiar scripts.  Considering how well these caps 
match my car, I reeeeeeally wanted one.  
Understandably, so did their owners.  

They told me the caps were gifts from the area 
Mazda rep, passed out at a recent race weekend 
at TWS.  I happened to visit my local dealer, 
Hillard Mazda, shortly thereafter and mentioned 
the caps.  They offered to get one for me, if 
possible.  The very next day, I had a cap!  Both 
the salesman (Barry) and the sales manager knew 
that I absolutely was NOT in the market for a car 
but they went out of their way to get me a freebie.  
If you are shopping for a '99 in Fort Worth/Dallas, 
you might give a call to Barry at Hillard Mazda.  
He's a nice guy and I owe him one.  BTW, Hillard
has several '99's in stock and a Silver/Tan 5-speed
in the showroom.
