I am truly sorry about your incident. I admit that just because it is a rare
occurance doesn't justify it, and it certainly doesn't make you feel any
better because it doesn't happen often. In absolute NO means do I advocate or
condone police brutality. I was merely trying to explain to Lance that he is
an idiot if he believes that he was taken advantage of in one way or another.
He deserved everything that he got. In fact, he deserved a ticket for going
85. It angers me to hear someone whine about their "ill fortune" when others
(like yourself) are being brutalized. I did not intend to invalidate your
experience. I would understand it if you have a deep seated aversion to
police officers, but you I am certain that you realize that Lance was
complaining about being caught, and being punished. I believe that it was Dan
who compared Lance's situation to police brutality, which was thoroughly
inappropriate, in my opinion. In my retort I meant no disrespect to those who
have been victims of misappropriated police force. However, I hold steadfast
in my belief that police officers, laws, and governments are essentially a
good idea.

Sincerely,

Darwin R. Pinder Jr.
