I am in the process of converting my Miata into a one-of-a-kind off-road
freak.  The wheelbase on a Miata is almost Identical to a Suzuki Samuri.  I
am dropping my '95 M onto the running gear of a Samuri.  It will have 48"
Monster Mudder tires with 33" of body and suspension lift.  I will remove
the top in order to facilitate the 6 off road lights I will mount on the 6
point roll cage.  The engine will be a small block Chevy with supercharger
and NOS. (let's not start the S.C. vs Turbo thread again, OK?)

Questions:  I am going to have to cut a huge hole in the hood for the
supercharger/intake.  Should I just take the whole hood off and throw it in
the trash and leave the big motor naked to the world?  
I am hoping to get into auto-x.  Which class would I fit into with these
mods?  Can anyone who has made similar modifications to their auto-x sled
give me recommendations on shocks?
