I had a rule that I never drove my Hoosier's more than a 1000 miles one way to
an event. So I guess they may not do well if you are traveling farther! ;-))))
Actually, they were a darned sight more comfortable on the road than the super
stiff asymetrical sidewall on the R1. Now the Kumho seems to be a pretty good
street driven tire also.
So you takes your choice and pays your money. Most of the bad you here about 1
tire or the other is BS. They all are pretty darned good and I have used them
all. (As well as driven each of them major distances to events.......with the
scariest being driving shaved R1s thru LA in the driving rain and over the
Grapevine in the snow from the SD Tour several years ago.)
