The
airbag DID CAUSE THE INJURIES to my hands and arms -- that really biases my
opinion about the airbag. I find it a little difficult to use the keyboard
and I can't return to work, yet. But, it probably did protected me from
injury to my head, neck, and chest -- not a scratch here -- not even a bruise
that I could complain about. >

Yeowch! I wouldn't trade places with you, but I'm glad you're still with us.

"trade-off" of certain types or severities of injuries in airbag deployments.

Also noted your follow-up post about not wanting to disconnect the airbags in
your next car---your wish is partially granted, as the '99s have the newer,
less-powerful airbag. Anyone know if it is smaller than the old one as well?
