HEY GANG:

Well finally got the RX-7 intercooler into my Miata AND running right!

Lots of thanks to OTTO for helping me out (actually, I think he did all the
work). We soldered up copper
piping and elbows for a real stiff IC piping! Heavy? Not really.......big
2" tubing throughout.

We even soldered in a cool blow-off valve fitting for the SAAB BOV. Yeah,
why bother buying a $200+ dollar BOV anyway? And yes it goes.....SWISH!!!!!
when I get off the throttle.

THE TEST DRIVE.

With the stock boost setting at 5psi my car really flies. First gear kinda
lags a bit as the boost pressure is still way too low for IC use BUT, once
I hit 2nd gear.........YAHOO!!!!

I was racing DAD on the freeway today......yes he has a BOXSTER. Can we
say.....PASSED DAD?!
(Well not really, wound up pulling pretty even.)

MOm thought it was funny. Em, the almost wife, got a kick out of it too.

Kinda cool having a Miata and a Boxster going at at on the freeway.

MORE TO COME:

Upgraded Fuel pressure regulator....for boost up to 8 psi (and higher as I
add more stuff), the GReddy one kicks out at 5 psi and runs lousy with the
addition of the IC...Likes to go lean on me.

Upgraded fuel pump......for more high end potential

Borrowing some injectors from a 1994 soon to for a better force feed.

Those of you contemplating the IC for your GReddy turbo, do it. It's the
most cost effective power upgrade and can turn your Turbo from a casual
cruiser to a killer.

------------------

And yes, it ways way the heck faster than my old Sebring set-up. SEbring
guys, don't bother spending the cash for the "boost" upgrade for the
Sebring kits. Sepnd your $400-$600 on a Good intercooler and piping. The IC
will run ya $400 and another $300 worth of piping and elbows.

An un-intercooled Sebring running 7+psi spells disaster........or at least
a quart of oil magically disappearing every oil change.

Talk at you all soon!
