A query and a new topic:

The query:  Has anyone put a 1.8 hot-wire airflow meter on his or her
1.6 miata?  I know the wiring's different, and maybe the impedance, but
maybe some electrical genius figured it out.  I'd love to make this
conversion to pick up a few HP.

The new topic:  Allegedly, yesterday's L.A. Times published survey
results where the Miata was in the bottom five of customer
satisfsation.  Not Mazda, MIATA.  Down there with Hyundai (shudder).
I'm astounded but don't know what the survey questions were.  I doubt
performance or reliability were to blame.  I suspect the respondents
wanted a cushier car.  Of course, if that's true, they shouldn't have
bought a Miata.  Any other opinions?
