We have been using a miata as our primary transportation for over 4 years now and couldn't be happier. Very reliable good mileage and lots of fun with the top down. I suspect that the Jeep would be an unpleasant, punishing vehicle for most of your driving. We live at the top of a huge hill, at the end of the road, yet never have trouble getting out 365 day/year.
