Why didn't you follow you own advice, Gordon, and kept this private as well
(if your delete key is broken as it appears to be)?
As a reminder, Aaron asked for some input from the list about rollbars in
order to make certain choices which directly concern some of us, as they might
influence some choices for Laguna Seca 2 . This was not an academic
discussion, it had a real purpose, real answers were expected.
Some 120 messages tried to tackle the problem with different degrees of
success. Very little flaming occurred during the exploration of a topic that
has been and occasion for epic blazes in the past. In my opinion, the list,
overall, did very well, and a lot of very useful information was disseminated.
Your single contribution to this effort was a (self-described as "semi-
facetious") message about.... "air bags" -- and their removal and
reinstallation after each track day (??). Now, you are chiming in with a clear
invitation to another flame war and the fanning of dormant embers,
surprisingly enough as the thread started to self-extinguish as most threads
should.
Try to use your head please, you are the one "that won't let this die"!
