I know there is an air-bag deactivation kit available from someone,
but don't remember the source. I am also curious since my wife and I
are expecting (our first) a little girl at the end of August and I
have absolutely no plans to get rid of the Miata.

Unfortunately, I can't afford a 99 and am pursuing a 97 left over. my
question is this:

can they be attached easily. whats involved. It is the gating issue
oin whether I buy a miata or not.

when the air bag goes of(god forbid).
