Three and more years ago, stock miatas did run in CS. However, due to its
excellent performance right from the factory, the miatas dorminated the
class with large victory margin. So all miatas (whether 1.6L or 1.8L) were
bumped up to BS competing with faster cars. However, SP miatas remained in
C. In Western Canada up here, the same applies to stock under the CACC
rules. CACC CSS (somewhere between stock and SCCA CSP) and CACC CSP
(somewhere between SCCA CSP and SCCA prep, blowers allowed) remained the
same.
