List,
I have seen these in person and they look awesome. What the kit consists of
is side pipe exhaust tube channels or covers in which the standard (but you
customize) metal exhaust tubes are put into. The kit is not the actual
exhaust pipes but covers for the pipes just like on the Vipers. The custom
exhaust pipes (not included in the kit) that Russ had made to go with the
kit shown on his car were made by a local exhaust shop and I think cost him
around $250. So for something like $750- $800 you can have a GREAT looking
custom exhaust
setup :) I am not trying to convince anyone, just my humble opinion on a
product I witnessed from conception to final product.
His '90 white has the blue viper stripes and looks incredible. At a local
carshow he parked his car next to a blue viper wityh white stripes and drew
quite a crowd. The car is supercharged and immaculate and draws quite a
crowd wherever it goes :)
The kit is made by the past President of the Everglades Miata Club in which
I am a former member. The website was put together by a kid that knows Russ
and did it as a favor for Russ helping him get his Miata "Phoenix" back on
its feet from the abuse of a previous owner. I must say that the webpage
does not clearly explain what the product is and the picture does not do it
justice. Russ and another good friend Cass at Miata World in Ft Lauderdale
have put several of these kits on cars at a Gunther Mazda in Ft Lauderdale.
