Lester -

The miatank has twin NACA ducts in natural carbon fiber/epoxy color
installed on a
red car. There is a picture (that needs updating) in Kevin's MOTN web
location. This
should give you some idea of how the dark grey lids look on a red car. I
could send some jpegs by e-mail if you want some alternative (and newer)
views.
I can't speak for other setups, but I've placed thermocouples by these
vents and as
long as the car is moving, cool outside air enters thru the NACA vent.
